I believe people don’t seem to use it is because of the doubt and struggle they go through in their lives, I am a perfect example - At first, I highly doubted this when it was introduced to me, but I opened my mind up and tried my best… I didn’t regret my decision. I am grateful that there is an answer like this. It really has changed me.
I agree, I know how people see those who love to be wealthy in such a way, but I for one love to be wealthy not just money wise but also inwardly. In my heart, I am a generous, kind person who would happily share his wealth with others wisely, a limitless amount of money flowing into my bank account, not to just spend on my personal needs, but for those in more desperate situations. Thinking about myself then comparing it to those who live in poverty is what makes me generous and kind.

This just tells me the kind of person you are, a pessimist! What’s in the video is the guys expression of himself. It’s his own intepretation of the Secret. Anything is possible. Don’t dwell on the regrets of the past. Make the most of your present. Whatever you think and do now you create into your future. You need to be less judgemental and more loving. No one is perfect. I watched this to be inspired, but was quite the opposite. Your video is mainly about extravagant luxury: yachts, mansions, diamonds, even a private jet! This is what The Secret is about to you? You still worship almighty materialism. Do you know that most diamonds are blood diamonds? Do you know many humans are slaughtered to obtain them? Do you even care? I’m surprised you didn’t put photos of Playboy bunnies on there! They are probably on your private vision board where your wife can’t see.
The Secret is the latest and by far the highest profile example of the trend of self-help gurus making a living by offering their philosophies, concepts and strategies to help us, our marriages and our families.
However, by deferring to authorities may diminish our own critical thinking skills to grow and evolve on our own. In addition we run the risk of given up the freedom to build healthy lives, marriages and families based on our unique history and life experience. If we are not careful, we may overlook the value of our own life experiences along with the advice of friends, family and especially the elders among us.
Instead of looking outside ourselves for answers, one alternative may be a return to our (common) senses! Begin, to reclaim your natural ability to think for yourself. The common sense that was once readily available to all of us is still there free of charge and waiting to be applied to just about any challenge we might face in life… all you have to do is use it.
